Comments
It's disappointing and I'm quite upset,
and I trust that it is natural and reasonable to express it,
that our 'Patrons' are suddenly showing us cold shoulders and act against what we've acted upon!
and if this is the case then perhaps we should pause for a short moment and sense around to understand:
who are we and who are we acting for?
and what is the nature of the relationship between this initiative that we are supporting and bringing into existence and La Cantine/ French-Israel/ Yossi Vardi et al?
if they are not supporting it as agreed so clearly (as clear as clear can be clear) then why wouldn't it be just a Tilda or any other brand?
and it is just as fine. but it's a different story..
we have to recognise and state it clearly now.
in regards to starting a communal (ArchiNool) design process, focused both on emerging a community and on our future place, I recognise a clear need and an important opprtunity.
yet, and as we've looked into, there is a degree of commitment needed and some costs for holding a meaningful process.
a clear Go / No Go decision must be responsibly taken.
in regards to the physical place,
I feel that within the current constalation there is no value in mainataining our position with the Yafo Port authorities.
If we have not even seed, we are not really game,
i.e. we shouldn't make them now an offer, saying 'we want this and that and we're willing to pay this and that..' because then in two weeks they will be ready to progress, and we're far from being able to attend the next, serious, meeting.
So..
sharing is caring..
your comments, thoughts or suggestions are most appreciated

Meni - I am surprised by this sudden drop in your energy... Don't let the latest news to take the air out of your sails.
First of all, our friends at La Cantine are still supporting us and helping us, and the brand is good in any case - we love it, don't we?
We should have been more realistic when an association promised to finance us in the middle of a year. Associations build budgets for a whole year, and what we're asking is not trivial.
In any case, we never intended to rely only on one donor. This would have been a mistake on our part. It would simply be longer to raise the money.
We know very well who we are and what we aspire for. Our identity is not determined by those who contribute to the Cantina, or those who don't.
About Archinool - as stated in our meeting - we cannot commit to finance any such move, before we know we have guaranteed resources. The go/no go decision is to be decided by the architects involved.
Regarding the port - we should continue and discuss with them as if the money is here already. In any case, it will take time to start and sign and arrange the works etc. No one expects us to agree and sign on the same day. Take that into account.
The Cantina goes on as planned, Even if we need to delay the opening date!
